Liz McDonough

Liz received her bachelor's degree in Science Pre-Professional Studies (Pre-Med) from the University of Notre Dame and her Master of Science from the State University of New York at Albany. Since 2010, she has been a significant contributor and technical leader in the development and validation of multiplexed analysis of fixed tissue samples at GE Research and has been involved in numerous internal and external partnerships focused on the use of this technology.

Liz joined the Corr research team as a doctoral student in 2022 with a focus on fabricating compositionally and spatially controlled, histologically relevant 3D tumor models using laser direct-write bioprinting. Her work aims to leverage these constructs to assess the influence of intra-tumoral heterogeneity on the response to HER2 drug treatment in breast cancer. Outside of lab she enjoys hiking, fly fishing, mountain biking, and time with her dogs and chickens.
